System Fundamentals (2 hours)
This training provides users with an introduction to the Aspen SIS, focusing on the configuration of the system and system navigation. Users learn skills that will be applied in their use of all Aspen modules, including student data access, data filters, query writing, and report generation. This session is a pre-requisite to other trainings.

Enrollment Management (1.5 hours)
In this session users learn how to manage every aspect of student enrollment, including registration, withdrawals, transfers, and status change transactions.

In this session, attendance users learn the skills necessary to streamline day-to-day attendance management in Aspen, as well as the advanced functionality and reports to alert administrators to attendance issues and discrepancies.

In this session, users learn how to manage conduct incidents and related disciplinary actions. The training will also include the Detention Manager tool, the management of attendance related to suspensions, and the data fields captured for state reporting purposes.

Daily Scheduling (1.5 hours)
(also known as Walk-in Scheduling) Users learn how to use Aspen’s drag and drop interface to manage individual student schedule changes, and how to utilize Aspen’s filtering tool to easily identify potential classes to fill an open time slot in a student schedule.

Grade Management (1.5 hours)
In this workshop session, teachers learn all the aspects of using the Gradebook. The training begins with the topics of basic navigation and taking attendance. Then, working in the gradebook, teachers will learn how to create seating charts, create categories and assignments, post term grades, and personalize the Gradebook.

Enrich your student and family portals with Community Pages. Staff members should bring their documents, graphics, video links, quizzes, discussion topics and creative ideas to this workshop. Users learn how to create and manage their own Pages.
This training is not just for classroom teachers. Team coaches and advisors can build Pages for the student groups that
they manage, as well. Don’t have the portal open yet? Let your staff members get a head-start and debut their Pages with the opening of the portal.

Designed for the user who has mastered System Fundamentals, topics in this course include advanced queries, filter management, custom sorting, quick reports, and a review of the Global tab. For users who have SQL knowledge, direct SQL queries can be included as a topic.

Elementary Scheduling Workshop (2 days)
The workshop examines each task that must be completed in preparation to create the elementary school schedules. Users will have access to their own District database during this hands-on training. Afterwards, the participants will work in an expert-supported environment in which to build the schedule structure and load student schedules. The objective of the workshop is to have each school leave with completed master, teacher, and student schedules.
