Independent Sessions (K-12)
Teachers will be able to sign up to work with grade level colleagues on an area they would like to collaborate on.
Short Text & Comprehension Questions for Use During the Year (3-5)
During this session, teachers will have the opportunity to examine packets of ELA materials gathered by a study group of Bethlehem teachers last winter. These resources were chosen based on the types of questions we have been seeing on the New York State ELA tests over the past three years. There will also be time to “mine” for other materials during the latter part of the session, materials that individual teachers might like to add to their packets, such as more advanced texts for higher ability students.
Teacher’s College Writing Units (6-8)
Teachers will be able to work together to plan their units for the coming year. Time will be given to map out the year, generate materials and identify additional resources that may be used in order to most effectively teach the units.
